Welcome to Boundary County

Stay Awhile…

…that is an invitation and a challenge! Boundary County is located in North Idaho, bordering Canada to the North, Montana to the East and Washington to the West. Nestled between the Cabinet, Purcell and Selkirk mountain ranges, with the Kootenai and Moyie rivers flowing through, Boundary County overflows with natural beauty.

So whether you are touring the Selkirk Loop, headed for Montana’s Big Sky county, or headed all points South, we invite you to stay awhile and share the beauty of our county and hospitality of Idaho’s Friendliest City.

If you love hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, rock climbing, back country snowmobiling and backpacking, kayaking or camping…then we challenge you to experience all that our rivers and three mountain ranges provide. You’ll find adventures for all levels, from the casual to the extreme.
